  Bridges

Dental bridges are appliances used to replace one or more missing teeth. These appliances are cemented into place and cannot be removed by the patient.

   Bleaching

Bleaching is a safe, effective way to lighten the color of the teeth. Most bleaching treatments take around two weeks. However, extra time may be required in severely stained or discolored teeth.

   Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are thin, plastic films painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (i.e. molars and premolars). These are very effective in prevention of tooth decay. As the sealants act as a physical barrier to decay and plaque build-up, usually they provide full protection.

  Dental Implants

Dental implants are an alternative to dentures and help to restore the mouth that has few or no non-restorable teeth. Such implants aid in reducing the movement of dentures, bridges, and/or crowns, facilitate proper chewing and also provide support. Additionally, implants help in improved stability for removable dentures or fixed bridgework.

  Dentures

Dentures replace missing tooth and its adjacent tissue with a removable dental appliance made of acrylic resin or combination of some metals. Different types of dentures are: Complete, Partial, Conventional and Immediate.

  Extraction

Extraction is the removal of a tooth that is non-useful, non-restorable, or potentially harmful to the patient.

  Filling

Filling is required for teeth affected by tooth decay (caries or cavities). Different types of fillings are – Dental Amalgams, also known as silver fillings and Composite Resins, also known as white fillings. Other alternatives to restoring damaged or decayed teeth are:

  • Porcelain Veneers – Ceramic material is bonded to the front of teeth to change the tooth's color, size, and/or shape
    • Crown (Cap) – A procedure by which a damaged tooth is covered to strengthen it. The tooth may have been damaged by decay, or possibly have a previous restoration that has fractured. Root canalled teeth are also crowned if sufficient tooth is missing
    • Cast gold restorations – Often more expensive and may require more than one dental fitting
  Orthodontics (Braces)

Orthodontics is the technique of aligning the teeth and jaws to improve the smile and oral health. It is usually recommended that an orthodontist see a child early in life. If braces are needed, placements usually occur between ten and fourteen years of age.

  Periodontal Scaling

Periodontal scaling is a procedure whereby a dentist or hygienist removes the deposits-plaque or tartar, from under the gum line. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia so as to make the patient more comfortable. Many times it can be performed in two to four visits depending upon the amount of deposit present.

  Posterior Porcelain Inlay/ Onlay

Posterior porcelain inlay or onlay is aesthetic, non-metallic restoration that is bonded on the prepared tooth to restore the beauty, strength and function of the tooth.

  Root Canal

Root canal therapy is conducted to correct disorders of the dental pulp which is the soft tissue around the tooth that contains blood vessels, connective tissues and nerves. This procedure is usually spread over several visits to ensure that the associated bacteria and infected pulp have been adequately drained.
